Prepare to be mesmerized by the debut of Sir Frank Bowling’s first digital artwork! The renowned British abstract painter is set to unveil his stunning piece, “Arrival,” in London’s iconic Piccadilly Circus on May 4.
Sir Frank Bowling’s first digital artwork, “Arrival,” draws inspiration from his own life journey – from his move from British Guiana to London at the age of 19. The piece is especially meaningful as it is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of Windrush, a symbol of hope and new beginnings for Caribbean migrants, as well as King Charles III’s upcoming coronation on May 6. Through “Arrival,” Bowling commemorates his early memories of the citywide celebrations for the late Queen’s coronation on June 2, making this exhibition a poignant tribute to his personal history and the wider cultural landscape.
For Bowling, creating Arrival was a chance to experiment with color and light in a fresh and exciting way, adding something unique to the art world. The artist first became inspired by the stenciled map shapes of Guyana, Africa, Asia, and Australia during his time in New York, which led him to develop his signature style of exploring color and geometry within the framework of these maps.

A thin edge of seduction and the consumerism fetish is thoroughly blurred in Acosta’s art in the use of both light, and dark tones. Bold lines serve as a fashionable juxtaposition of a peaceful dream-like state and a vivid color, representing action and presence in the moment.
