Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez uses art as a tool to bring the African continent to France.
Based in the south of the country, ideal place for young artist to get inspiration by the unique light and abundant colours but also perfect gateway for emerging creatives to gain visibility on the European market, Nomaza is running two art projects:
– Makwande Art Residency is an ONG which aims to promote cross-cultural education and investment in the African arts.
– Undiscovered Canvas which functions as an Art Agency, a Gallery where anyone can choose and acquire art works of the African Artists, mainly female, showcased under the curation of Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez.
In our creative talk we are extremely honoured and grateful to meet and share the vision of this pionner, feminist, one-of-a-kind expert and extraordinary, vibrant personality.
To the trustworthy opinion of Nomaza now is the right time to invest into African Artists, as the second market hasn’t been set yet while the demand has been constantly growing.
She is sharing with us on how she chooses the artists for her projects, the role spirituality plays in the works of African creatives, her point of view on evolution of the women rights in the African society, the future of the digital art, her experience as an adviser to the President Emmanuel Macron on the Conseil Présidentiel pour Afrique and much more.
