The special guest of our fashion talk today is Mossi Traoré. This young designer, who was selected by Vogue France as one of the most promising talents of the country perceives fashion is a form of art. No wonder that for his new Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 collection Mossi collaborated with Angélique Lefèvre @angeliquesculpture – Parisian photographer and sculptor who works exclusively in white using organdie, resin and PET.
This season the designer has been focused on the idea of clothes that creates a connection. Textile items that occupy our everyday lives, clothes also represent the key moments in our lives. Functional and versatile, the clothes are designed to offer us a support, while challenging our understanding of life cycles, of fashion cycles. If life cycles cause us to evolve, then clothes, in turn, cause us to act. Like a silent yet tactile call to action, it is upon contact with the body that garments become silhouettes, true moving sculptures.
