Camden Town - the Mecca of street style

Camden Town is not just a neighborhood, it’s a small town in a big city. The most vibrant and creative place in London, popular for its market, live music and its famous residents. Camden has been the home and inspiration for many artists, writers, and musicians, such as Charles Dickens, Virginia Woolf and Amy Winehouse, who is even immortalized in the form of a statue.
There’s no pretentious austerity or pompous aristocratism like in other parts of London. Camden Town’s buildings on High Street catch the eye with their creative design. The higher floors of many shops are brightly painted in vivid colors and some even have impressive objects on the building facades. There are also many works of street art in the area that belong to well-known street artists as well as anonymous.
However, the most colorful and interesting place in the city is Camden Market, widely known among fashionistas around the world. It’s a street food and clothes market all in one. You can buy things here that you won’t find anywhere else. There are hundreds of designer, alternative and vintage clothing and accessories stores, furniture, antiques, jewelry, CDs, collectible arts and crafts and international cuisine.
Above all, what makes Camden so great are the people. People who are free-spirited, who are not afraid to be themselves, to emphasize their individuality through clothing, makeup, tattoos. Whether locals or visitors from all over the world, they all enjoy the area’s cool and friendly vibe.
