Miami Swim Week became the biggest and the most enduring Swim Week extravaganza on the planet. This year’s event started on July 4 and will keep the party going until July 12, except for Paraiso, which for the first time hosted its shows in June. A few additional events are scheduled following July 10 as part of a post-show lineup. Miami Swim Week is a vibrant affair, featured this year over 50 public and industry events with 100+ designers, besides the private shenanigans at hotels, nightclubs, and exclusive venues add to the excitement. Fashion weeks are always a blast, full of over-the-top and stunningly impractical designs that somehow manage to be beautiful in their own unique way. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the wild and eccentric styles showcased at Miami Swim Week.

Miami Swim Week featured literally jaw-dropping swimwear designs that you’d never actually wear to a beach or pool. That’s not the point, though! Miami Swim Week is all about asking the question, “What if we took beach and pool fashion and flipped it upside down?” It’s a playground for creative minds who love to break the rules and explore the extraordinary.

This year’s the main runway was held at Fontainebleau Miami Beach and unfolded in couple extraordinary runways. We witnessed the magic inside the renowned theatre of Fontainebleau, with models strutting their stuff on an outdoor runway that stretches over one of the hotel’s iconic pools. There also was an oceanside runway experience on the sandy beach, brought to you in collaboration with Vogue Latin America.

The runway was set on fire this year with renowned brands like Nike Swim, Camilla with Love, Natalia Fedner, and Original Penguin showcasing their collections. Alongside the dazzling runway shows, there were fashion industry panels, workshops, activations, and glamorous dinners for industry insiders and media. And while not all the outfits were beach-friendly, every single one we witnessed was a masterpiece, proving that fashion can be an art form in itself.
