MR. ONETEAS

, POP ARTIST AND AMBASSADOR FOR RECYCLING, ABOUT BRINGING HIDDEN MESSAGE INTO HIS ART

Anthony Alberti, better known as Mr. Oneteas is a true multidisciplinary artist. Born in 1984, he’s largely self-taught, and his artistic journey began with graffiti in 2005. Since then, his style has evolved, influenced by his travels and the people he meets. His street art now graces major cities like New York, Paris, Brussels, Porto, and Prague. But today, we’re in the small, medieval town of Dolceacqua, nestled in Italy’s sunny Liguria region, less than an hour from Monaco. It’s here that Mr. Oneteas—who is half Italian, half French—has settled into an old agricultural property, transforming it into his atelier, where he welcomed us for this conversation.

In this first part of our interview, we get a closer look at what drives him and the unique messages he brings to life through his work.

Mr. Oneteas isn’t just creating art for the sake of it. His work is a call to action. Often crafted from recycled materials, his pieces are meant to provoke, challenge, and start conversations. With a deep concern for the planet and its future, his art challenges us to confront uncomfortable truths—whether it’s about the state of the environment, the way we consume, or the growing surveillance culture around us.
Through his art, he takes on bold issues. In one of his works, he calls attention to the looming crisis of drinking water shortages—what he refers to as the “new Grail.” In another, he challenges the image of Monaco as a glamorous playground for the rich, reminding us that it’s the unseen workers—construction crews, nurses, cleaners—who make the city tick. His art asks us: How much longer can we ignore these realities before it’s too late?
Mr. Oneteas pulls inspiration from current events—politics, media, culture—and infuses his work with humor and originality. But behind the bold colors and striking visuals, there’s a deeper message. He wants us to look beyond the surface, to question the systems in place, and to rethink our role in shaping the future.

To hear more about his philosophy and his mission to use art as a tool for change, be sure to check out the full interview on our YouTube channel.

Stay tuned for more from Mr. Oneteas—a passionate humanist with a big heart and an even bigger message to shake up the status quo.
