Paco Rabanne has passed away today at the age of 88. A designer who has revolutionized the fashion world. He was a rebel who was able to shock the audience with his first solo show in 1966 where 12 models came out, showing dresses made of plastic, metal and other industrial materials. That’s how he started being on everyone’s lips from that time to the present day. After that iconic debut, Coco Chanel started calling him a “Fashion Metallurgist”.
It is worth to mention the contribution of Paco Rabanne to the perfume world. His perfumes have been in great demand all over the world for decades. Just remember the fragrance «1 Million», in the form of a gold bar, or «Olympéa» with its Greek mythological motives.
“No matter what civilizations and religions, gold has never ceased to seduce a person”
Over the years, his creations have been exhibited in the best museums of the world: in Paris, New York, Tokyo, etc. In recognition of his talent and for his active contribution to many humanitarian projects in 1989 Paco Rabanne was awarded the title of “Knight of the Order of Isabella the Catholic” in Spain, and a “Knight of the Legion of Honor” in France .
