Paris Fashion Week: The devil is in the details

SHARE THE ARTICLE

When designers are given the freedom to put their wildest fantasies into fashion, the most ironic trends emerge. We’ve prepared for you a selection of iconic accessories and trends from ready-to-wear autumn/winter 2023 fashion week from New York, London, Milan and Paris.

Boys and their toys

Boys will be boys. And they will love cars at any age. If you don’t have a car yet, you can always take the baby car away from your child and hang it around your neck or wear it as a ring, as Botter suggests.

More is better than less

This is the principle that many designers adhere to in their collections, not only for handbags but also for belts, pockets, buttons… Don’t limit yourself!

All that is mine I carry with me

For the upcoming autumn/winter season, brands suggest that we carry the most important things with us. Besides handbags, of course, it can be books, hot-water bottles, pillows, dogs and even children! But please don’t take the example of Louis Gabriel Nouchi, an axe and a chainsaw hidden in fabric, let’s save it for Halloween.

The nipple liberation movement

Designers are forcing all women to go topless for the autumn/winter season. This feminist idea that women and men are equal is good, but let’s still dress warmer during the cold season.

Where the wild roses grow?

Fashion on the edge of madness or total recycling

Designers are urging us to be environmentally responsible and give unnecessary items a chance at new life! A trash bag can be used to make a hat, a dress can be decorated with cutlery, a hood can be made from tights, a ripped-off toy head can be used as a bag, a can ends as earrings and a cigarette butt as a necklace. That’s the urban madman look. It’s something not everyone dares to wear, but it’s a way of breaking up the elitist and snobbish atmosphere of fashion week.
