Meet Anna Rudzit, as it says in her instagram profile, “experimental and avant-garde makeup” artist. This is the definition that best describes Anna’s work. Her vision of makeup is very advanced.
She uses her face as a canvas for her makeup experiments, and the texts of her posts give her work a special meaning and make it a real ephemeral work of art.
Anna takes the perception of makeup to a new level.
It’s also important to note that she supports makeup artists around the world in her community @messymakeupcommunity. If you are interested in creative makeup you will find a lot of inspiration here.
It all started from childhood. I loved using my mother’s cosmetics and my family did not forbid me to do any kind of creativity. Therefore, I started experimenting with makeup quite early. However, it took me a long time to learn something and find my style.
I completed basic courses for makeup artists and acquired photography and retouching skills as an adult. And then I combined my passion for makeup and photography in one experiment.
At the very beginning, I didn’t know what to call what I decided to do. Over time, this took the form of experimental makeup. For me, this makeup gives more freedom and leaves the right to make mistakes.
In fact, in ordinary things. For example, my own life experience, other people, art, cinema, photography, architecture, music and, of course, nature.
I think the main trick is how you pass it through your imagination.wocious, and Antonio Lopez.
Most often, any makeup is given to me easily, if there is an idea. Difficulties often begin at the stage of interaction between the photo and the viewer. There may be ambiguous reactions, often negative. But if we talk about working on the image, it is difficult to keep liquid forms on the face and take a photo at the same time.
I think that, like any creativity, my work is selfish. I’ve always wanted to do something to express myself, my desires and fears. But I also want to say this to other people: be brave, don’t miss the chance to be noticed. And my message resonates, people often write to me that my work inspires them. This is very valuable.
My models have gone out with my makeup a few times. In normal life, I wear pretty boring makeup.
I tend to define beauty from a philosophical point of view. Beauty can be defined as subjective satisfaction with the results of cognition
I’m not a big fan of trends at all. It seems that trends simplify and average everything. But I like that high fashion makeup continues to penetrate into everyday life and vice versa. And in general, this makeup continues to be a part of art.
It would be great to do makeup for the characters in a David Lynch movie. Because he’s a genius.
Now it’s a make-up in the style of the 2000s. And even an impersonal form of makeup in the form of a mask on the face. Before that, there was ugly makeup as a kind of protest and simply natural makeup. Make-up fashion goes in circles, but new elements are added to it, reflecting the state of society.
Yes, and this influence is very strong. There’s no getting away from it, it’s a kind of development (I hope). People in their desire to be different become even more similar to each other. It remains to properly filter what you see and be yourself.
