Roméo Stedman Mouras is a 21 years-old Franco-American designer, creating garments at the intersection of wearable sculpture, emotional memory, and rebellion. He was raised in the southwest of France, by a single mother artist, feminist, and dissident, in a world where instinct mattered more than perfection, and questions mattered more than answers.

From that and his studies, he creates now from tension, between survival and ritual, rebellion and vulnerability. Each garment becomes an act of reclamation, an attempt to unmake what was imposed and rebuild what was taken. The pieces are meant to shift and evolve with the wearer, because our identity is movement, not definition. « I believe in process over perfection, in the human hand over mechanical repetition. »

His practice is rooted in queer identity in the constant negotiation between body and gaze, freedom and structure, designed for those who live in flux, for those who reshape the world simply by being in it. Upcycled and Recycled Materials in RSM Designs

The whole brand process sounded logical from the start: every material is upcycled, recycled, or donated; no fabric was purchased new. They are sourced from carefully selected charity shops and social thrift networks that support employment reintegration, local aid programs, and community empowerment ; each material carries a story before RSM’s.

Handcrafted Fashion and Wearable Sculpture

Garments are ennobled through hand-pleating, painting, coating, layering, fraying, dying and cutting. There are no industrial finishes. Each piece is treated as an emotional and sculptural object intuitive, imperfect, handmade and precise.

This approach gives each garment its own character. Rather than forcing materials into a predetermined form, Mouras responds to their existing textures, imperfections, and histories. Frayed edges, layered surfaces, hand-applied treatments, and visible traces of construction become part of the design language rather than details to conceal.
